When I started writing my Top Ten Songs of 2017 list, I wasn't aware of Travis Scott and Quavo's long-awaited collab, Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, an album that came out on 12/21. Since it was released in 2017, it can still be eligible. Here is my review of Modern Slavery.
8. Modern Slavery
by Travis Scott & Quavo
Modern Slavery is one of my favorite songs this year because of its chorus. The verses are great too, but the "All these dang chains, modern slavery. But this ain't 1800 so they pay me." Have been stuck in my head since I first listened to the song last night. I love Scott and Quavo's vocals together, I think it sounds really good, and this song is just a great example of why you shouldn't make these lists until the END of the year.
In case you need more convincing, Eminem's album Revival just came out, and so did Charlie XCX's Pop 2.
Note: This song knocked A R I Z O N A's Electric Touch into 11th (off the list) and MGK's At My Best into 10th.
